Date Bait

A woman went out on a date
With a man who used bank-notes as bait.
When she found they weren't real
She said You are a heel!
I won't speak to you, let alone mate!'

GRATEFUL FOR GREEN

Woodland, copse, jungle, forest.
Trees
Bushes,
Shrubs,
Grass.
*
Green.
*
Maybe it is a harking-back
To our origins,
When we swung between the branches
By our tails!
*
I only know a yearning for Green
Is in our souls.

A resounding YES .. to both of your poems.

I love Green! Its monosyllabic beginning, two line
description culminating in the end of story! So modern, close to text messaging, I imagine. And, by the way, the current phone text messaging preferences must please your yearning for a simpler way to cope with
english spelling!
