Political Nursery Rhyme

POETRY 24
http://poetry-24.blogspot.com/2011/06/saturday-challenge.html
asks us for a new political nursery rhyme.

POLITICAL NURSERY RHYME
(On a subject dear to my heart.)

There was a young lady from Saudi
Who wanted to drive her own Audi,
She tooted her horn
And she was reborn.
And the rest of the world shouted 'How'dy!'

GUARDIAN ANGEL

In holier days than these the City Fathers stated
The Cathedral should always tower over all.
Nothing should be higher or slightly dominating,
No theatre or block of flats or hall.
And, so far, we've been lucky; the Cathedral hovers over
All the happy godless people down below
And when it's lit at night
It makes a lovely sight.
Religion really does put on a show!
