Bushwalk

This photograph was taken between the shops and the sea; we could hear the traffic and the waves! Yet we might just as well have been deep in the bush.

THAT'S MY WORLD

BUSHWALK.

Bush-walking is a pastime that everyone enjoys
And it need not be exhausting or intense.
There are many wild and gentle places waiting to be found
Where you'll never see a gate or find a fence.
The eucalypts are everywhere, and leafy ferns as well,
And little creeks meander down the hill.
The bell-birds hiding in the trees chime their tinkling songs
And the kookaburra's laugh is loud and shrill.
This isn't really country, though it seems a rural place;
The city isn't very far away.
But the bushland still envelopes us with true Australian charm.
And I'm sure I hear it whispering 'G'day!'

An idyllic bushwalk here:

Your poem and the photo help me imagine what a bushwalk would be like.

The bushy place looks real charming. And the poem adds spice to it (we love spicy matters :)))
