In a Twinkling

IN A TWINKLING!

'Come on, children! Off you go!'
Their answer? Just a laughing 'No!'
We persevered. Their eyes were bright.
I think 'This will be quite a night!'

In five minutes I take a peep!
Both of them are fast asleep!
In a twinkling! Who could guess
That 'No' could so quickly turn to 'Yes.'

A memory of their Daddy's sleep-patterns here:

What sweet little guys. I am sure you enjoyed having them.

They are so sweet when sleeping, but the hugs before that are the best bits.

You certainly have better luck than us when babysitting! But it is certainly worth it when they do finally fall asleep and we can put our feet up.

Then you have to try to get them up in the morning - except at weekend... I wouldn't have it any other way though.

Very sweet. I love the noises that children make after they have promised to go to sleep.
