Balance.

BALANCE

Oh how glorious to be
Balanced between pool and sea!
Paddling his grateful feet
In water calm and warm and sweet.
While tumbling and foaming to his rear
The wild cold ocean's roaring near.
My friends, it really isn't hard
To have this in ones own 'back-yard'!
One is safety, one is strife.
What a very balanced life!

Hmm, very nice, and tankers in the distance, I see! A nice life.

Sorry I wasn't able to get around to your post last week. It's getting more difficult to keep up with everyone. This is such an interesting location. It's odd to see him sitting there in the middle of the ocean. :-)

Nice. What a very fit person sitting on that wave. Must be a surfboarder.

What a great spot to sit in. And a nice composition with the tankers in the back.

I remember the other poem you wrote too about Merewether (named after the mining magnate)

and how you've applied to the authorities for name change of this place to Merry Weather :)))

Beautiful the way you have held the rhythm constant throughout the verse and got the meaning across loud and clear. Nice pic too.

Quite a difference between the one side of the rocks and the other. I always enjoy getting around and seeing the different views of this weeks theme. Yours is cool!
Drop by and check mine here.
