Amber Capture

MELLOW YELLOW
AMBER CAPTURE
(A Cinquain)

Captured.
In honey gold.
Fluttering then smothered
In hardening bubbles of gum.
Insects.

A LITTLE WHITE HAT

"A little white hat and a big blue sea.
And no-one in the world but me.
A little blue truck to carry sand.
And no-one around to hold my hand."
He doesn't hear his Grandma sigh
'How fast the years go flying by.'

Insects in amber are certainly fascinating, but can always be eclipsed by a photo of a little sweetie on the beach.

An interesting amber capture, and a sweet photo of your grandson. Yes, they do grow quickly, my granddaughter is 6...seems like just yesterday I was rocking her to sleep in my arms.
