Farewell to Gerald Gee

                                         Gerald Gee

FAREWELL TO GERALD GEE

Cyberspace is full of people, poets, painters, puns,
But sometimes we are gifted with some very special ones.
Gerald Gee was one of those I met 'up in thin air'
And, now he's gone, I find that I do, sincerely, care.
'Light' was my word for Gerald. The lightness of his touch;
The light he threw on the English scene, which, still, I miss so much.
The lightness of his humour, the quirkiness of mind,
The light music that he introduced, which he now has left behind.
Cyberspace is emptiness, that, of course, is true,
But Gerald, it's much emptier now we say farewell to you.
R.I.P.

I shall miss him too. What a nice farewell from you.
He achieved in his blog a centeredness of himself
across many ways of making art, both in the
old fashioned way and in the modern sense
with the new tools that came along. He was
not stuck but moved back and forth through time and space.

A lovely tribute to a very talented gentleman. His contributions to the blog world will certainly be missed.

Gerald was a very precious uncle to me. I thought you might like to know that I sent his son Jonathan a link to your lovely tribute and Jonathan's wife read it out at Gerald's cremation.
