The bright blue day is switching-off,
Soon it will close its eyes.
The looming clouds will overwhelm
A day of sunny skies.
But one great beam of light will pierce
The grey before it goes.
Like a defiant searchlight
Before the night's repose.

(An Acrostic)

Natal day of my whole life!
Even now am I newly-born!
Woes and worries, cares and strife
Done away with by the dawn!
After last night all is different,
Washed and fresh and clean and new!
Now, my dear, that we have met,
Each new day will be full of you!

Nice sky shot.
I like the poem, too.
