MELLOW YELLOW MONDAY
SERENDIPITY!
Just a corner of a junk-shop.
And a picture on display.
The quirky laws of idle chance
Made them match this way.
Surely it was hung there
Without a second thought.
'Let's sling this one on this wall.
I hope it soon gets bought!'
And yet the colour of the wall
Matches to a tee
The background of the painting!

My goodness! Serendipity is right! Your poems always make me smile!
I have always loved the sound of the word serendipity. It has a lilt to it and is almost as much fun to repeat as a rhyme from Dr.Seuss.

will I find treasures in you
hidden under dust?

I had used my brains a bit more than necessary and thought that the entire picture was a painting..!!
