The Green Gloves

They pass so quickly, these lovely days
Between babyhood and childhood.
When communication consists of
A smile,
A roguish look,
A laugh,
A cuddle.
When a mower is a 'mowoh'
And a whipper-snipper
Is a circular motion of the hands!
When triumph is expressed by raising
The Green Gloves.
And a comical thumbs-up!
The obsession with garden-tools will pass.
But, with it, will pass
Those lovely days.

Hi blog hopping from Watery Wednesday. I guess it's my first time to be here. By the way, my WW entry is up as well. Hope to see you there :)

Cheers,
Nita

Hi Brenda

I remember my kids having a thing about gardening gloves...
I have no grandchildren yet. I am still getting over motherhood!
But it is going to be a joy.

Happy Days

Precious! One buys the most expensive toys, when the child is satisfied with much more simple things ....
