Little Red-Coat

RUBY TUESDAY

LITTLE RED-COAT.

Ruby Tuesday! Never tried it!
But this shot! How could I hide it?
This is my grandson's dog, Banjo,
Who'll catch any ball you choose to throw.
He comes to our house for a stay
Whenever his master goes away.
Malcolm and he are the greatest mates.
By the gate he always waits;
By-passes me, without a glance
(Unless I have the ball by chance.)
The little chap is quite beguiling,*
Particularly when he's smiling!
* Banjo, not Malcolm!

The dog's coat should keep the little chap warm. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Brenda
Love the little dog's coat - very cute :) Brighton is very hot and sunny at the moment! And this hymn is very evocative - and very English somehow. I've sung it many times but never heard the descant - beautiful.

What a smart fellow Banjo is. You couldn't let that picture pass. It's almost as if your husband and he are playing "Ring around the roses". Thanks for sharing. I LOVE your rhymes.
