Old Friends

A Prompt from
EVERY PHOTO TELLS A STORY
Our two Mothers lived with or near us well into their nineties. They never actually sat in these seats, which are a more recent addition, but my photograph brought them both back to mind.

OLD FRIENDS

They may have gone
But these live on.....
The friendly chat
Of this and that,
The cheerful smile
Lingers awhile,
The happy laughter
Echoes after.
I see them still.
I always will.
No-one is dead
While their name's still said.

Another one to remember here:

Loved these two lines

No-one is dead
While their name's still said.
