Somewhere on Earth.
Filmed from Space.
Not a vivid abstract painting
As you may have, at first, thought.
Not something attractive
To hang in the foyer
Of a smart hotel.
A dark blue eye
Seems to watch.
It is watching Toxic Waste!
This red stain
Is a stain on our consciences.
Have painted it.
We painted it
In a state of abstraction,
But it is not an Abstract.
We were half asleep
With the brushes in our hands
And the red paint dripped
Till it transformed
Can erase our Big Mistake?
Lady Macbeth found out the hard way.
'All the perfumes of Arabia'
Were not enough.
Part of the problem here:
Rinkley, great job posting for Ruby Tuesday! "Out, out damned spot!" We have to be careful not to ruin our "big blue marble." :)
what a big red stain to the planet!
What an interesting and informative post. I enjoyed something different. Thanks for you comment and visit to my place.
That's a big stain if it's visible from space. Yikes!
Resembles to the cancer that contaminates human body.
Very though provoking post, I like it.
Great Find Ruby
What a lovely poem you've painted in my mind! Let's no allow the red paint to go on dripping and become toxic waste. Very deep.
That is quite scary! It does seem as though it resembles cancer of the body. Something to never quit thinking about...
That's probably only a small part of it - the image and your words so true.
what a unique RT post. toxic waste is "a stain on our conscience" indeed. thanks for sharing.
An arresting and thought-provoking post.
that's a very unique take on this theme. I like the poem! :)
How sad, and how damning of our disregard for our Mother.
Great find, and interesting photo!
What a shocking and brilliant sight. Is this an actual painting , or a photo atken from space with infrared light? And whar is the blue eye? I love the poem.
That's a very interesting image, and a very thought provoking rhyme. I love your reference to Lady Macbeth.
makes for a great pic!!
