MINI-CHALLENGE
We are asked to write a cameo.
The Cameo is a purely syllabic form consisting of six lines with the following syllable count:
2, 5, 8, 3, 8, 7, 2.
SNOW FLAKES
Snow-flakes.
Whirling through the air.
Stark white against the grey black sky.
Drifting down.
Your beauty is, sadly, so brief.
Soon you merge into a mass.......
Snow -drift.

PASSING THE TIME IN PINK
Time passes very slowly
When you are only three
And someone's said
'Don't crease yourselves and just sit quietly!
You yawn, you stretch, you gaze about,
You fiddle with your hair,
You gaze at other little girls,
Although it's rude to stare.
You hear the music playing;
It's the tune ahead of yours!
Not too long now, darlings!
You'll just love the applause!

I think the snowflake a most apt choice for the cameo. Your careful selection of words really captured its beauty.

Kid Time is definitely different than Adult time! I read once that, to a child, it seems that "twenty years or twenty dollars can scarce ever be spent." Ain't it the truth. Now they both flash by like nothing.
Nice poetry form.. yep, those snowflakes are just lovely when they are falling.
The second post is adorable...children have no concept of time, but we love these angels in pink~

Your cameo is so true--the individuality of each flake piling up into drifts--I wonder if they get it back atom by atom as they melt.
Liked your little girl poem, too. All that fidgety energy--if only I had an ounce of it some days. ;_)
