From our local paper
When I was young the variations
For those important celebrations
Involved 'Will the sleeves be long or short?
Home-made or (daring) will it be bought?'
We always knew it would be white.
Any other colour would not seem right,
For we were all virgins ( I know that's true)!
So only the purist white would do.
The slightest touch of blue or pink
Would make the neighbours nudge and wink!
But times have changed an awful lot!
This local lady is tying the knot!
Her wedding dress is rather brief!
About the size of a handkerchief!
And she certainly isn't wearing white!
No remarks! It's not polite!
Modern but regal here:
You found an interesting feature for today. I like what you said on it as well.
Times sure have changed, and I'm not at all sure that's it's for the better! Happy Blue Monday.
Different strokes for different folks!~ Hey she can pull it off with that bod!!~ Happy Monday!
Interesting, indeed. Love your poem!
Blue wedding looks okay, interesting!
The Gentleman is wearing a white dress and covered head to toe..!!!!!
Oh come on that can't be a wedding outfit. My how times have changed. Interesting.
Tin and sparkle
Wohoo that is a very hot dance there. Love the costume too.
Per the photo you have shared
Two great egos did I see
Tradition lost but cabaret dared
Guests were probably charged a fee!
I'm certain the feathers are symbolic for something or other.
Great Blue pic !
Yes I definitely like a more traditional gown...lol
Happy Blue Monday!
Does look like they're having fun ; )!
Interesting. Enjoyed the poem! Thanks - Happy Blue Monday. Jenn <><
