Passing the Time in Pink

From the local paper

PINK SATURDAY

Time passes very slowly
When you are only three
And someone's said
'Don't crease yourselves and just sit quietly!
You yawn, you stretch, you gaze about,
You fiddle with your hair,
You gaze at other little girls,
Although it's rude to stare.
You hear the music playing;
It's the tune ahead of yours!
Not too long now, darlings!
You'll just love the applause!

THREE MORE GIRLS!

Oprah Winfrey in the Outback on her current Australian tour!
Oprah's doing something I bet she's never done before!
She's nursing two little children of the Aboriginal race.
(For forty thousand years this country was their special place!
Now they suffer hardship and displacement and the rest.)
I wonder if these little girls were even slightly impressed!

I love the little ballerinas and the poem. It really catches the essence of waiting at a dance recital.

Will Oprah go to Uluru, do you think? I'm glad she's there to shine a light on the Aboriginal children.
Happy Pink Saturday,
