CARRY ON TUESDAY
Asks us to use the title of Queen's 1991 song
'The Show Must Go On.'
THE SHOW
The show will go on and on and on,
After the players have upped and gone;
After the lights have all gone out;
After the last triumphal shout.
When violins no longer play,
And there are no more words to say,
The seats will be empty, row on row,
The tickets torn up; the cast had to go.
Mankind will leave, because it must
And all it's artifacts will be dust.
But, somewhere in the vast 'out there'
The lights will flicker and then will flare;
Words will be written, words will be said;
Thoughts will arise in another head.
Life will take another deep breath
And perform the play called 'Until Death'.
Let us say, before we go,
'Gosh! I really enjoyed the Show!'

PREPARED
It may rain or it may shine.
One hat's yours and one hat's mine.
Brollys, coats, all ready to go,
Even though the wind may blow.
Everything we have is shared
And, as usual, we're prepared.

Photos for Mike
Blake will be 13 in a few days time so I took a couple of special photos of him yesterday evening.
We had all just been out for tea. Here he is with Rebecca and Brian.
And here he is with Kath and Brian, his 'other' grandparents.
And here is a rather late photo of Michelle with Harry and Max on holiday at Byron Bay.

Great thoughts in this poem! I enjoyed your show!
I think this is a wonderful poem. Well written.

Another great rhyming verse. You see the show as it's meant to be seen. So many now go to be seen, rather than to see.
fun rhyming,
:)
