Splash!

THURSDAY TALES
supplied the illustration

SPLASH!

That most personal of our possessions....
That glorious red liquid,
Full of energetic  mysteries,
Flowing around our bodies
A though on a race-track;
Carrying organisms,
All leading their own lives,
But intensely related to us.
That current
We hear flowing past our ears,
Singing.
That renewable energy
That, surely,
Will weave its magic
Eternally.
Can, in an instant,
Become a splash of red paint
On a wall.

REUNION!

We had a reunion in the park
And drowned old Lawrence for a lark!
Now we're regretting his decease!
Don't look now! Here come the Police!

Wow.. what eloquent imagery in your verse. Loved it! Thanks for sharing the poem with Its Thursday, Brenda.

Please also mention the artist credits too. The link to the image page is there in the IT post itself.. Thanks!

Well done with the picture prompt - one which had upset me.
I enjoyed the second one too - a little light relief after the serious one.
