LOST ON MARS!
Oh dammit! I've lost them again!
The instructions on how to get back!
I'm terribly sorry!
They were lost in this quarry
And I'm going to end up with the sack!
We'll be stuck up on Mars for all time!
Just because I was careless again!
In our tractors and trucks,
We are just sitting ducks
For those damnable Little Green Men!

JUTTING JEWEL
There's something exotic about a pool that's set in the sea like this.
The dark blue sea plus the turquoise pool; add them together! Bliss!
This is Sydney, the Icebergs' Pool, known for winter cavorting;
Where brave souls risk the August chill to prove that they're tough and sporting.
As for me, I like to watch, although I think they're rash.
I'm certain I would shiver if I even felt one splash!

This is such a cool take! I bet even Ray Walston (<--cLiCkY-cLiCkY!) is chuckling!
P.S. Ditto on the "ditto" pool!
wow- how cool is that pool!
I love your poetry takes as always! Nicely done.
This is a great take on the pic!
Lost the directions? Should have a GPS in those loaders. :D
I really enjoyed your take on the prompt.
My Succinct: Mama
Funny poem, and right on target...the landscape does look a bit alien. I enjoyed it!
Would not like to be stuck on Mars, that's for sure ;-)
Clever SciFi approach! Kudos to Sparkle for her mention of Uncle Martin!!
I laughed all the way through "Lost on Mars," and agreed with you about swimming in winter. You are so good at this! Thanks for the laughs.
I loved "Lost on Mars" — I think I'm going to try "Succinctly" next week, but I'll never be able to match your fantastic submissions!
We have mid-winter water fun in Canada, too, usually on New Year's Day, and mostly called Polar Bear swims although very few people actually swim. They just run into the water and right out again.

Love your sci-fi adventure! Definitely feels like it just rolled onto the paper effortlessly...so well done.
I'm afraid I was a dunderhead and used last week's prompt that I'd missed, but I did have fun with it. Will get back in step next week...LOL!
