121. Freddy and Fannie

Just off for a day in the country, but I woke up with this going round in my brain so here it is. (I'm sure it's been done before but this is an Aussie version!)

(Later: Photos of the Day in the Country can be seen on my CLICKPICKS blog.)
FREDDY AND FANNIE

Freddy and Fannie were Lenders.
Lordie, but how they could lend!
And day by day,
In every way,
They taught us how to spend.
They've brought us pain
Because they've gone down the drain!

This is delightful and unfortunately too true! I enjoy such quirky verse.

I don't even want to get into my own financial problems -- neither Freddy nor Fannie are my friends right now -- but I've stopped by here twice today, heard Monty Python and Eartha Kitt. You're making me smile. 2009 is gonna be my year.

Very appropriate verse. I will memorize it and repeat it to my friends.

How well you've captured in 7 lines... what's being thrashed across the globe. Lenders and Spenders - just beautiful, the Aussie version..!!!!
