Not my usual fare: I don't see myself as another Patience Strong!  But a while ago I was asked to attend a self-help group with a choir and a 'buck-up' song was requested! Here are the words, without the melody.
(Song-writing is my other hobby.)

brought this on!

Every day we climb a mountain. Yes, it seems we never stop.
For that mountain high
Reaches to the sky!
We can scarcely see the top.
Everybody has a mountain; yours is not the same as mine.
But we all must seek
For the highest peak
Where the upland meadows shine.
And the climbing can be lonely; we may falter on the way.
For the winds may blow
As we upward go
And the skies may loom more grey.
When you're climbing up your mountain you may need a helping hand.
If you only ask
We will share your task,
Because we understand.
Though your mountain may seem mighty, it may only be a hill!
And, without a doubt,
Friends will help you out
And you'll climb on with a will.
Life is full of many mountains; they seem hard for us to climb,
But a friendly smile
Makes it all worthwhile
Laughter helps to pass the time.
For climbing is part of living and in life we all are one.
We'll enjoy the zest
And the well-earned rest
When our climbing days are done.
So keep climbing up your mountain till you find that certain peak.
And then! Good news!
You'll enjoy the views!
You'll have found what, now, you seek.

That's a great way to look at it: we all climb our personal mountains. And for what? Usually ourselves, or what we view as our personal responsibility, or mission. But one persons mountain is another's mole hill, true.

I don't know what I would do without a personal mountain, conceived when I was very young not knowing, then, why! My word verification is breba!

The journey (uphill/mountain)is to be enjoyed. At destination, everything is worth it..!!
