XYLOPHONE!
There was a young man from Malaya
Who worked as a xylophone player.
When he bashed on the keys
Everybody said 'Please!
You'd be better-off as a surveyor!'

And an old one for good measure.

XANTHE
'Which one of these ladies is Xanthe?' I know you're longing to ask;
'Which lovely creature by that name has chosen this rock for a bask?'
You can pick any one of these ladies and attach the name to her,
For she existed in legendary times and her history's a blur.
You see her cavort in the water, delightfully in the nude,
With some of her many sisters, a rather extended brood.
She had three thousand sisters! That makes one rather dizzy!
Her father, Oceanus, must have been pretty busy!
Each of the lovely daughters watched over some watery tract,
A lake, a stream, a river, a puddle (and that's a fact!)
Here they are having a great time, gambolling in the sea,
Which was just an excuse for the artist to reveal their nudity!

Both poems are cute. I really do love that first one!
