HALLOWEEN 2011
She turned up in November
Dressed in bewitching red.
Dressed in bewitching red.
And 'How about a little treat?',
Rather winsomely she said.
I said 'You're eleven months early!
And beat her round the head!

MYSTIC MOSAIC.
Admiring a mosaic we all gathered round.
Then, purely accidentally, look at what we found!
A group of ghosts had gathered from some long-forgotten show,
Dreaming of their glory-days in pageants long ago.
Recalling the excitement of the cheering and the clapping;
Days when they were younger and their feet were busy tapping.
It's a rather charming whimsy but (you knew it all along!)
The shadow of the camera proves I've got it wrong!

This imaginary time line is a bummer, for all we have is 'Now' ! LOL
Ah so someone took her literally and played the trick on her! :O)
Well, that's one way to deal with unwelcome knockers at the door :-)
Great way to turn a :-( into a :-)

About time someone used the "Trick"
part of Trick or Treat!
Loved reading your poetic piece today.
This one made me laugh...poor little lady, living on the other side of the world she gets her dates all mixed up...LOL.
Have a great week ahead. Cheers!
smart word play.
You ride a broom, you forget about things like jet lag and time changes. :) Nice one!
Glad to see that you focused on the treat here. I enjoyed your microfiction.
