Stencil

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY

STENCIL

No pen or pencil
Could better stencil
The patterns on the bark.
Each leaf outlining,
Against the shining,
In a perfect leaf-like mark.

The leaf outline does indeed look stencilled on the bark! Great photo!

The shadows are placed on the tree with a stencil - or a pencil, ink, or charcoal artist with a steady hand. The stencil would be easier to supply the pattern that a mere mortal could work with. Nice take on an artistic work!

Love the bush scenes, the smell of eucalyptus in the warm spring air and the stenciling of life...our leaves are all dead and on the ground...time to mulch!

The stenciled tree trunk reminds me of a totem pole--so unique & a great capture. I enjoyed your verse too!
