The Lie in the Lens

SKYWATCH

THE LIE IN THE LENS!

'Surely a monochrome', you say!
Surely a dark and stormy day!'
'Surely a scene of moodiness and threat!'
*
And yet, oddly enough,
It wasn't wild or rough
It wasn't even wintery or wet!
*
It was quite a pleasant day,
In an ordinary way,
And the trees were clothed with leaves of Springtime green!
*
But I pointed and went 'Click!'
And, by some peculiar trick
I produced this very Gothic sort of scene!
*
But if you care to squint
You will see a little hint
Which will bring the nature of the day in view.
*
In the corner, on the right,
The sky is looking bright;
You can even see a little touch of blue!

You have a wonderful mind for composing rhymes...and the photo is lovely, - the little bit of blue a promise.

A dlightfully apt rhyme to go with your picture. Maybe you captured the pre-Halloween mood instead of the bright spring day.

Always tricky to take a picture against the light... Your poetry, though, always seems to be able to overcome every difficulty with such ease! :)
