ACROSTIC ONLY
Quite tricky this time because the number of syllables (8) per line was stipulated!
TOO HOT TO HANDLE!
Touch a pan that is much too hot
'Ouch!' you'll say 'That has hit the spot!'
Over-zealous over-heating
*
Hurts the hands! They take a beating!
Oven-mitts are made for just this,
To let you give hot oil a miss!
*
Turn the heat down when you're cooking!
Or hands will get lobster-looking!
*
Heat is useful but it's nasty!
Attack that steamy Cornish pasty!
Never trust that you'll be lucky!
Don't be foolhardy or plucky!
Let all that boiling stuff get cool
Else you might be a scalded fool!
*
A different sort of culinary heat here:

I am late reading this, but I really enjoyed your acrostic. I love your rhyme and wit.
Brenda,
This was very funny but then again so is life most of the time.
I enjoyed reading this treat.
Brenda this was funny, but it was so creatively written. Congratulations you are a winner!

Wow... with a 8 syllable rule and writing about heat and advice on cooking, is pretty tough.!
Loved it.
