265. Rhyming Recipe; Salmon Pizza

                                                                                       Falbo

I love cheese, salmon and simplicity. And, like the rest of the world, I like Italy's greatest invention, the pizza. Here's the lot.

SALMON PIZZA

Canned salmon and cream cheese, my friends! What a combination!
Enough to make one lick ones lips in keen anticipation!
And pizzas are so easy; you can eat them with your fingers.
And this one leaves a memory that very surely lingers.
Try it as a starter, or cold as picnic fare.
Salmon pizza is a winner for everyone to share.
First of course there is the base, a very definite 'must'
And that, of course, just has to be a regular pizza crust.
Make your own if you are up to it, or, if you are like me,
Buy a ready-made from the supermarket, easy as can be.
Heat the oven to four hundred as you mix sour cream and cheese.
Spread the mixture on the pizza; it can be done with ease.
Take boneless, skinless salmon; crumble it on the top.
(This recipe's so easy it can never be a flop.)
Sprinkle with chopped bell pepper, some onions, cheese and dill.
Of the latter, just a little; don't go into over-kill.
The cheese should be the tasty sort, to make the taste-buds sing.
There! Didn't I tell you it would be as easy as anything.
Pop it into the oven for a quarter of an hour.
Just time for you to take a great refreshing shower.
You'll be looking cool and lovely when your guests are at the door.
Maybe you should make several; they're sure to ask for more.

Ingredients
1 pizza crust.  3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened.1/4 cup sour cream. 7 oz. can salmon, drained, bones and skin removed.1 red bell pepper, chopped.4 green onions, chopped.1-1/2 cups shredded cheese.1/2 tsp. dried dill weed.
