Grey on grey

SHADOW SHOT

GREY ON GREY

Grey on grey, shadow on shade.
A strange unreality it made!
Turning a day which was sunny bright
Into a monochrome, dark and light.
The window behind me was filled with blue,
Yet, from this photograph, not a clue!
On the stair a shadow of me,
Looming like a monstrosity!

A CHINK OF LIGHT.

The great sun, squeezed
Like some inconsequential lemon,
Between the dark and the dark.

Casting shadows seems so simple;

But what you have done

Is used you meager body to

Hold back the mighty Sun.

The shadow lurking in the light - it might have got the greys instead of the blues...

Brenda - if I hadn`t seen your kindly face in another photo, you could have scared me with this picture :)

Love your poems to :)

Wish you a not so scary weekend :)
