Lemon Tree Passage

Watery Wednesday

Port Stephens is a short drive north from Newcastle. This photograph was taken at Lemon Tree Passage in that area. The entire inlet is larger than Sydney Harbour but Captain Cook sailed past it not realising this. So we now have a wonderful aquatic playground on our doorstep.

LEMON TREE PASSAGE.

The pelicans and seagulls
Know how to co-operate.
The fishing boats will soon arrive
And they're prepared to wait.
Port Stephens is a wonderland
As the whales and dolphins know.
And pleasure-boats go out to them
When they put on a show.

What a lovely spot, it looks like Sidney got the development and you got a beautiful, quiet spot to enjoy.

I enlarged your photo and it really is wonderful with so many gulls and pelicans. I love the blue hues of the sky, water and shore.

I too enlarged, lovely Pelicans!
Do you think they come to India on migration? :)
Lovely lines too, Brenda.

I saw a lonely crow in the forefront - people who come in the pleasure boats may not see this chap..!!!
