Shoo Sand!

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY

http://heyharriet.blogspot.com/

SHOO SAND!

I'm wrestling with a snake!
He's wriggling!
Well, for goodness sake!
Now I'm giggling?
Sand between my toes!
It's scratching!
Down the drain it goes!
Despatching!
Max down by the sea!
But not now
Because he's grown, at three,
A lot now!
Days down at the beach!
Delightful!
Already out of reach.
How frightful!
Time goes by so fast!
He's growing!
Last year's days have past!
No slowing!
Pictures on a screen
Remind us
Of a time-past scene,
Now behind us.

Bobo's Tail

SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY
http://heyharriet.blogspot.com/

BOBO'S TAIL!

I started life as 'Banjo' and that's my proper name,
But I'm very friendly, cuddly, lovable and tame,
And Max could not say 'Banjo' so now I make a claim....
That Bobo is a good name for a dog.
My tail is rather splendid, I wave it all around;
It makes a charming shadow there behind me on the ground.
And my family agrees with me, everybody having found
That my tail is a good tail for a dog.

Silent Symphony

SHADOW SHOT
http://heyharriet.blogspot.com/2010/01/shadow-shot-sunday-88.html

SILENT SYMPHONY

A book, a stand, a clarinet,
But no-one's there to use them yet.
Left to itself an instrument
Is quite inert, with no intent.
The book is paper, nothing more
Although it may contain a score.
Awareness of music is not in these;
Their purpose isn't symphonies.
Clarinet, book and stand all wait
To meet the player that seals their fate.

Shadow Shuffle

SHADOW SHOT
Down at the Olive Tree Markets on a Saturday in Spring
There was quite a rush,
Almost a crush,
As each searched for 'that little thing'.
And the shadows were stirred like a pudding underneath all the scuffling feet.
And we met and talked
And sat and walked
And life seemed very sweet.
