And maybe she'll be embarrassed if she gets too many more!
But I was so delighted when I found her lovely site
That I felt I'd like some others to share in my delight.
I'm ignorant, I admit that, of the glorious world of art,
And blogs like 'The Blue Lantern' help me feel that I'm a part,
A part of that other vibrant world I can visit now and again,
Although I only rise to the heights of drawing matchstick men!
The misty London painting is the 'heading' you will find
And she follows it with examples that will surely blow your mind!
Tomorrow is BLUE MONDAY so I take this opportunity
Of killing two birds with one stone, hopefully with impunity!

COTTAGE BY THE CREEK
I called on Pam last week
In her cottage by the creek,
With the water lapping right up to her door.
Her Victorian bric-a-brac,
(She really has a knack)
Is something I'm admiring more and more.
The roses and the prints,
The quaintness of the chintz,
The candles standing sentinel in white,
All create an air of calm
And nineteenth century charm.
Somehow everything seemed just exactly right.
