THE ONLOOKER
The first Saturday in June
And it's Olive Tree Markets Day.
The sky is as blue as a bluebell
And the sun has come out to play.
The happy crowds are mingling
Moving from stall to stall,
And a funny little fellow in a flat red hat
Is keeping watch over all.

No! They're not playing pool at all!
Theirs' is a very different ball!
They're ping-ponging while they swim!
Ping to her! And pong to him!
Blue, blue water; blue, blue game!
Hunky he-man! Dishy dame!
I don't think I'll hang round too long!
It's his turn to do a pong!
