ABC WEDNESDAY
(Letter 'S')
An Acrostic suggested by Acrostics Only.
SYMPATHY
Sympathy takes many forms.
Yours may be the touch that warms.
Maybe you'll mend a heart that's broken,
Perhaps with words that remain unspoken.
A simple touch on someone's hand,
To show you really understand,
Has the power of empathy.
You may set a sad heart free.
Yours may be the touch that warms.
Maybe you'll mend a heart that's broken,
Perhaps with words that remain unspoken.
A simple touch on someone's hand,
To show you really understand,
Has the power of empathy.
You may set a sad heart free.

BLACK HOLE!
Imagine it!
There you are,
Mooching along in Space,
When you suddenly start to
E....long.....ate!
*
Too late you realise that
Like a piece of string,
Being sucked down a plug-hole,
You are entering
A Black Hole!
*
You are reaching
The Event Horizon!
*
You start to disintegrate!
This is it!
The Singularity!
'The Point of no Return!'
*
'Abandon hope
All ye who enter here!'
Indeed!
*
For
Nothing can escape
A Black Hole!
Not even Light!
(That's why it's Black!)
*
Once upon a time,
Your Black Hole was a Star!
It had a gravitational pull,
Like our Earth.
*
Then it collapsed!
It's gravity turned on it!
It sucked in and in and in,
Until nothing was left
But a dot!
But a dot with the gravitational pull
Of a Star!
*
And now it's gotcha!
This is the stuff of nightmares!
*
'Sucked In!'
You've heard that cry?
*
This is it!
*
But, fear not.
Our Sun is too minor
To behave this way.
*
Earth is safe too.
*
Looked at it that way
It's good fun!
*

Such lovely, wise words as always, Brenda! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

You are so creative. : )
People are afraid to show sympathy, not wanting to say the wrong things. One should try anyway.

Its always an adventure visiting your blog. I love your way with words. Hope you have a wonderful week Brenda.
Delightful, as always! I so admire your talent.
I like your acrostic - very well thought through.
So that's what they are called, acrostics, new word for me and wonderful sentiment.
I don't want to be elongated in a Black Hole, maybe it will take us into an alternative reality instead.
