SCENIC SUNDAY

'Look!' she cried,'The water's flowing just as smooth as glass!
We hardly make a ripple on the surface as we pass!'
And all the while another glass was mirroring her there!
Reflections on the water. Reflections everywhere!

COMMUNICATION
Max was not yet two years old but I was quite astounded
At our communication: it was open, free, unbounded.
Which was really quite amazing, for all he said was 'Ugg!"
Yes, all my little grandson said was 'Ugg!'
*
Max said ' I'm sorry Grandma; my banana's on the rug!'
He said 'I'd like a drink of milk in my own special mug!'
He said 'My jacket's on too tight; I'll give the zip a tug!'
He said ' Come see my little train and see it go chug-chug!'
He said 'Look at this tiny thing, this pretty little bug!'
He said ' Come out and see my dirt and the great big hole I dug!'
*
We had long conversations with our smiles and with our eyes.
To be so very, very young and yet so very wise!
And when he said 'I love you, Grandma; can I have a hug?'
I knew exactly what to do when he said 'Ugg!'

Love the glass reflection and that cute face!
The glass is so clean it makes me want to dig out my Windex spray.
Max is a cutie and your poem is precious.
If you have time please visit my blog today because I have an award for you. I realize that you do not put awards on your blog, but I wanted to include you because I enjoy your blog so much.

That is my kind of boatride, when you hardly make a ripple in the water.
Lovely shot.
