Nocturnalia!

                                                                                                 Stevan Vitanov

CARRY ON TUESDAY

The opening lines (in blue) are from
'Phantom of the Opera'.

NOCTURNALIA!

Night-time sharpens, heightens each sensation.
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Thus it was with the artist here depicted.
In the night his mind was unrestricted.
Shades of the painter of the 'Starry Night',
Van Gogh, who gave us a miracle of light
Came to a mind filled with digital creations,
Weird curlicues and mysterious gyrations.
Then, like a flash from the heavens up above,
It was Mandelbrot, the scientist, that he was thinking of!
The world-famous 'sets' seemed linked in some strange way
That he never would have noticed by the light of day.
Van Gogh and Mandelbrot, odd that they should meet!
Add gnarled tree trunks. The picture is complete.
Nature, technology, and artistry combined
In a glorious depiction from a night-inspired mind.
