RUBY TUESDAY

AFTERMATH
AFTERMATH
After all the Christmas 'bang', it ended with a 'whimper'.
Christmas cards and tinsel 'bits', limp and growing limper.
All the build-up, 'all that jazz', all those expectations!
All the presents, all the cards, all the preparations.....
Ending in the sale-price box, along with all our dreams.
Roosters end as feather-dusters all the time it seems.
*
But wait! There's more! (As the ad-men say). There's still a ray of hope!
No need to brood and feel bereft! No need to wail and mope!
*
For there are bargains to be had! A very good idea!
The thrifty now can plot and plan for Christmastime this year!
The thrifty now can plot and plan for Christmastime this year!
Yes, though we may feel jaded, we'll do it all again.
Look out for sale price bargains for Christmas twenty-ten!

Love those sales ^_^
My red shoes
I was at Meyers, but the sales were still too expensive for me.
Great poem, Rinkly ;-)
I never take advantage of those after-Christmas sales.
Happy belated Ruby Tuesday!
