Frolic

Brenda Bryant

MOTION
THURSDAY

FROLIC!

When the scene is so bucolic
Everyone is bound to frolic!
In he goes (he's not too brave!)
And he gets knocked over by the very first wave!
I didn't catch the frothing fall,
The rogue wave pounding over all,
But I think I caught the shocked expression!
He says he enjoyed his ocean session!
Out from England, not an Aussie,
He wasn't quite a Life Guard, was he!
But he's coming back next year.
To be attacked by sharks? No fear!
*
(OK! Bucolic is a word,
Seldom written, seldom heard,
That appertains to the countryside!
So some may say I sort of lied!
But the weather then was such perfection
My verbiage went in that direction.
Take it or leave it! Don't be picky!
Rhyming words is often tricky!
Can you put on a better show?
Time for the news now! I must go!)
:-)

Hopefully you aren't bothered with sharks. Where my daughter lives there are salt water crocs. Fortunately there is always a warning when they are around.
Yes, Cairns is great and the Tablelands are even more beautiful.

I know the feeling of being knocked over by a wave
like that and then being dragged into the next wave!
But perhaps Australia doesn't have the undertows
we have on Long Island? Why couldn't I enlarge this
one to see his shocked expression!
