I saw these bewildered hens on Mrs Nesbitt's page and I couldn't resist them!

WHITE OUT!
Mrs Nesbitt! Mrs Nesbitt! Come outside and see!
All the farm is white and fuzzy! Whatever can it be?
When we stepped into the morning we very nearly froze!
Now we're standing all bewildered in a puzzled pose!
You didn't tell us this would happen! Our little feet are chilly.
We keep on sinking deeper in! And then we look so silly!
Egg-laying time is coming up! I think it will be rough
Squatting down to lay an egg in all this funny stuff.
Mrs Nesbitt! Mrs Nesbitt! We're heading for the shed!
Did you say 'It looks so pretty!'?
Give us straw instead!
Give us straw instead!

Poor chickens - snow up to the bum-line! Thank goodness my legs are longer, and the snow shallower here today! lol :)
