SHADOW SHOT
LITTLE RED ENGINE
On holiday in Sydney, at the Harbour-side,
Two old fogey tourists thought to have a ride
On a Little Red Engine parked there in the sun.
Our legs were getting tired and we thought it would be fun.
So we clattered round the wide Domain, past all the flowers and trees
Having a really lovely time. We're easy folk to please!
When we arrived at the farthest gates we were quite delighted!
The Art Gallery was close at hand! And so we both alighted.
A roam around the gallery, coffee at the cafe
And then we clattered back again!
What a lovely day!

OUT LIKE A LIGHT!
(An Acrostic)
Our baby screamed like a banshee baby!
Upset by the sound of fireworks, maybe?
Tickling didn't seem to help!
*
Loving hugs just caused a yelp!
Irritation grew apace!
Kisses brought on more hysteria;
Eyes (that's ours) grew ever blearier!
*
Anguished howls just rent the air.
*
'Little sweetie' didn't care!
Ineffectual our placating!
Goaded, we were contemplating
Having him adopted, maybe!
Then he 'dropped off '! Naughty baby!

Sounds like a lovely day harbour side. As for the howling babe, I remember those.
I enjoyed the rhymes, they give a smile.
A lovely day indeed! Love the little train! Great shot! And, yes, I remember howling babies -- I had four -- well, I still have them, they're just grown now and don't howl as much as they did way back then! Hope you're enjoying your weekend, Brenda!

Every time my daughter saw a train she would sing--around the corner, toot toot...thanks for the memories!
What a lovely day you had. Sunshine and no rain. The train is very cute.
Oh yes I do remember those days of howling babies. Long gone now.
What a great shadow! Love the little train!
And love your acrostic! I had 3 and sometimes that was the best time- when they were out like lights!
A very sharp shadow. Great shot!
