172. Nosey Parker!

Another week, another ABC WEDNESDAY!
On my PLUS blog you will find 'Nobbys' and on my ETT SETTERA Blog there is a story called 'Nemesis!'

The children always enjoyed this poem, particularly the last line! 'Nosey Parker' was an insulting name in England when I was growing up.
NOSEY PARKER!

A nose is a most peculiar thing!
It sits there on your face.
It gets in the way when you try to sing
And it takes up too much space.
It gets blocked up nearly every Spring
And it goes bright red as well.
If it breaks, don't try a sling!
And all it does is smell.
There are two little holes where breath goes in
Right above your lip,
And you can't be blamed
If you feel ashamed
When the silly thing starts to drip, drip, drip.
When the silly thing starts to drip.

Very funny : ). You should have gone to the market today and asked people if they could model for you and then just take pictures of their nose : ). That would be SUPER funny! Hope you have a wonderful week! God bless.

Listening to 'Blue skies...' as I read your latest. I learnt that long ago in the school choir - you can imagine the nostalgia that threatens to drown!
"And all it does is smell?" - lol

Very cute Brenda.
I am going to have to memorize this one because #2 grandson who is two and a half is FASCINATED at the moment with noses.
I can't believe how time has flown by. #1 is 5 #2 is 2 1/2 and #3 is almost 16 months.
It just seems like yesterday that my son was 5 and my daughter was 1.

What a great and very funny poem! It's so true about the drip, drip, drip...And as for being blocked up, it seems to be spring, autumn and winter be the case.
Thanks for your visit. So you have half aboriginal relatives too. My daughter's ex MIL, who is Aboriginal, and I are friends. She is a lovely person and looks after the grandchildren every now and then. Actually all the uncles and aunties of my ex SIL are my friends: they regard me as a relative.

Hi Brenda - dat's 1 g8 noz...
My attempt at being up to date! I enjoyed the poem probably as much as the children do.
RE Nostalgia photo - I was browsing my recent photos & just wanted to post it - it just reminds me of missing home (home of my childhood in Bosnia, home after a recent trip to NYC, etc.) Thx for asking.
