The Other

The Wordle

SUNDAY WHIRL
asks us to use all the words in the wordle

THE OTHER

Why does 'The Other' always fascinate?
Why do demons and goddesses appeal?
Why do their rituals keep us on our toes?
Why aren't we content with what is real?
Indigenous peoples way, way back in time
Created sacred beings to adore;
Now we visit the cinema and there, before our eyes,
Are vampires, and werewolves and much more.
We string the tales together and scare ourselves to death;
The significance of 'the other' never fades.
Creatures leap on mountain summits, or lurk in mystic caves,
Or dance their faery dances in green glades.
We've elaborated stories as the years have gone on by,
Of elves and goblins, wizards and old hags.
What is our intention as we conjure-up our myths?
Our enthusiasm never, never flags.

SOARING

'A Brand New Facility.'
Thus is it described in the press.
But 'facility' is a cold word,
A word belonging to officialdom.
I hear echoes
Of other,
More delectable words.....
Such as
Speed,
 Youth,
Vigour,
Danger,
 Experiment.
And I see the clouds echoing the sea
And the sea echoing the structure.
I see a man-made wave
Echoing the others
Beyond Bar Beach.
I see a body flying
Through crystal air,
Echoing the strivings of Icarus.
And, in this picture,
I see a work of art.

Ah "dance the faery dances in green glades" lovely poem especially that line which lingers... :)

Indeed many are fascinated with 'the other.' Human nature, I think.

Nicely wordled here, but do you realize these were last week's words?
