asks the question
'What if Birds Ruled the World?'
The more I learn about birds the more I realise that the insulting term 'bird-brain' is not deserved.
GEESE
Witness the Goose! It flaps its wings
And makes an upward draft.
The stronger birds are forward,
The weaker ones are aft.
And so the group flies strongly on
With energy and persistence,
Because the leaders know that they
Must lessen the resistance.
The moral is we fly the best
When we're helping one another.
As Simon and Garfunkle said....
'He ain't heavy, he's my brother.'

Nice work!!!!!!!!
Didn't see any comment section for the Yucky Ducks. They aren't that bad, I bet kids love them floating in the bathtub with them. Have a great Sunday.
Very well done. Reminds me of the leadership video I saw once: Lessons from Geese
Learnt some good lessons from the birds. Team work, works..!!!!
Well done. This makes me think of a moment at the beach when we watched a bunch of pelicans in a huddle emerge into a perfect V.
Wonderful and clever! And so true...
Indeed, helping one another is key. When we get weary, we can move the the back of the "v", to catch our breath.
Great work!
let us all fly in this week's prompt!
Oh, so truly spoken! You write it perfectly. Why is it so hard for us to GET it?
Lovely reminder of several important truths! Thank you ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
Seems like it should be instinctual. Aren't they magnificent?
That's a darn cool poem with an excellent moral! (Although actually I don't think Simon and Garfunkle coined that expression...LOL!)
Geese are amazing birds - monogamous, faithful, compassionate and very good guards. Excellent poem!
