(This poem was inspired by ABC WEDNESDAY: letter I. )
IGUANA ILLNESS!
If an iguana ate an insect
And in an instant it felt ill
Where could that sick iguana go
If searching for a pill?
Injections aren't too likely
And there's nothing to inhale;
It must simply fight infection
With a wiggle of its tail.
It might find relief in Italy
Or even Instambul
But if it sought an island
It might find that it was full!
It might grow quite impatient
With no instant help in view!
It must simply lie immobile
Till once more it feels like new!
