I spent many happy years as a member of the Toastmasters' Organisation. Here we see preparations for a Competition Evening at the Charlestown NSW.Club.
YELLOWSHIP FELLOWSHIP!
Napkins at the ready! Soon the evening will begin!
The very welcome visitors will start to enter in.
It's a Toastmasters' evening; there will be speeches said,
Prizes will be given and citations will be read.
Toastmasters is a speaking club, assisting those who're shy,
And toning-down the garrulous whose words never run dry!
It's said that Public Speaking is some peoples' greatest fear,
But with this group, assistance is tempered by good cheer.
These yellow napkins herald a time when we rejoice
And give thanks for an evening when all are in good voice.
