Fives

SATURDAY CENTUS
asks for a story told in five lines each containing five words

FIVES!
(Acrostics)

Fanny found a fat frog
It sat on a log.
Very soon it hopped away
Every frog has its day..
Short story......not much glory!
*
Five lines and five words!
It is for the birds!
Very, very hard to write,
Especially so in the night!
So I head......to bed.
*
P.S. If this looks mad, my excuse is that I'm writing at 4.20 a.m. Now back to bed. BB

CHAIR TALK!

'G'day to you, Shadow! Thought, today, we'd have a little chat......
About the manufacturing process.... little things like that.
I must say I'd like your opinion on the reason for my holes!
After all, I'm just for sitting; I have no other roles!
It pains me to think that I was made out of strange left-over bits!
After all, I have my feelings and, when somebody sits,
And then says 'What are these holes for?' I feel I want to scream!
It's not as though I'm part of a set, with a sort of matching theme!
But I've just noticed, Shadow, that you look pretty smart!
It's true! When I see you lying there, I think 'A work of art!'
In fact, I think you're The Answer! For, looking at you, I've found
That my 'raison d'etre' is simply you, lying on the ground!
My holes may be rather peculiar, but my shadow is quirky and fun!
I may look odd on a cloudy day, but, wow, I shine in the sun!

Really Nice One, R.R! I like the frogs a lot and the second also!

You know they say that great minds run together. :) At least we don't lose too much sleep on this do we?

4:20 a.m.??? Yep! That's about the time our dog children want to go out to pee! Then they hop back into our warm bed, with me.

Brilliant! I can be seen up that late sometimes. I seem to fight sleep. I also see that I am now taking afternoon naps. I have to much time on my hands. I'm retired.~Ames

Clever! I like how you spelled F-I-V-E-S and wrote nice poems and nailed the theme so well. Hope you got back to sleep.

I need to try acrostic poems more. This was really clever.

Five lines is super difficult. It feels like limerick writing in a way...and it took me a long time to get past that!

Bravo!

Love both your pieces this week.
