CRUISE COMPENDIUM (Part Three)
Memories in Memes
SCENIC SUNDAY
Mountains, flowers, pleasant streets; yes, Cairns had the lot.
But boy, oh, boy, (see this red face), Cairns was much too hot!
PINK SATURDAY

We toured the Botanic Gardens, with their jungle atmosphere.
Some blooms were very beautiful while some were a little queer.
From the upper-deck I viewed the leaving of Cairns quite late at night.
From an air-conditioned position it looked a lovely sight.
At Airlie Beach it drizzled but we went to Proserpine,
Where in a small museum this quilt was very fne.
How we enjoyed our balcony when we were out at sea!
We two little old pensioners were living in luxury!
Brisbane seemed busy and prosperous as we toured our way through.
This icon sees a clever way of combining yellow and blue!
I posted my blogs while on board ship. (Well, nearly every day).
The computer room was well-stocked and a pleasant hideaway.
We went to several lectures, this one on Lobster Lives!
Here's a bashful Malcolm dealing with his lobster wives!
A stiff breeze on the way back home blew humidity away.
We tried to walk around the deck at least once every day.
Tomorrow will be the finale; the conclusion to this tale;
As we return to Sydney from which we once set sail.
