On Parade

RUBY TUESDAY

ON PARADE

Plebian in the extreme! The basic shopping trolley!
A workhorse of the very humblest kind!
A symbol of our over-spending (what a modern folly!)
But, for Blogging, they're a very useful find!
See them here all lined-up, like soldiers on parade,
Alert and upright, ready to do duty.
As works of art it's very clear they do not make the grade.
As Ruby Tuesdays they are things of beauty!

I filched this from Margaret Gosden
http://margaretgosden2.blogspot.com/

It is a small corner of a rather lovely larger shot which deserves a visit!

FLYING OFF THE HANDLE!
Said Mother Fly to Little Fred
'You haven't heard a thing I've said!
Your bedroom is the worst disgrace!
Bits of food all over the place!
You take-after your Father! You're a Dunce!
I've had enough! Clean it up at once!'
Said Freddie Fly to his angry Mother
'It's always one thing or another!
Why don't you have a go at Dad?
It seems to me he's twice as bad!'
'What have I done?' said Dad, aggrieved!
'Don't get at me just because you're peeved!
I'm on the sidelines, abdicating!
I wish I'd never thought of mating!'
Then a human came with a powerful spray!
And that was the end of a perfect day!

  8. We "converse" with those metal rebels often on a weekly basis, but they tend to wobble to their own drum! Great take on the trolleys and enjoyed the fly dialogue!

  9. shopping trolleys,
    sometimes you can't find one,
sometimes the one you find is wobbly
and worst still, the wheel gets stuck.

Today, I went to a small Vietnamese store,
    the aisle is so narrow,
I was faster with a basket.
    Oh dear,
    I bought too much.
I wasn't so smart after all.
