MONOCHROME WEEKEND
http://www.aileni.net/id3.html
THE WAITING GAME
Not far from the busy roads,
Not far from the urban sprawl,
A little seat beneath the trees
Takes no notice of it all.
It is waiting for a weary walker
Who's trudged the river's banks,
To sink down with a grateful sigh
And quietly murmur 'Thanks.'

More relaxation here:
Some welcome shade there.

Normally, at this time of the year, that shady bench would be very welcoming indeed. However, this weekend is so teeming with rain ... nice study of contemplation.
ReplyDeleteNice view from that bench! And, nice in monochrome!
ReplyDeleteGreat old tree - good to climb while grandma ponders her next rime! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteNice imagery both graphically and in words.
