I've only just realised that our collapsing balcony is a perfect triangle!
PHOTOHUNT is looking for TRIANGLES! Serendipity!
LUCKY ESCAPE!
Malcolm and a friend were on our balcony this-morning,
When, suddenly, and loudly, and without the slightest warning,
The timbers started creaking and then they gave a crack
And the two men had to use their wits and leap agilely back!
Luckily no-one suffered, though, of course, it was quite tense.
Now we have to worry about workmen and expense.
The Balcony.
The Cracks!
Did they eat too much breakfast?
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, that is dangerous. Builders ?????
Thank God they were able to get back to safety. All of you take care.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that nobody gets hurt.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I too am glad no one was hurt. What a great rhyme.
ReplyDeleteWoodrot I should think - nowadays, here, they use green wood, treated against outdoor weather conditions. Just hope it isn't termites!!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a lucky escape for them.
ReplyDeleteI really am scared of balconies. Not just of them collapsing but of the grandchildren or me falling over them. What a wimp, I always ask for a ground floor room when we go on holiday.
that must be a close shave.
ReplyDeletenow, that was a very scary moment there. Good thing, nobody got hurt.
ReplyDeleteGood thing it didn't totally collapse, that would have spelt disaster! Hope you'll be able to fix that soon.
