Dripping Dragons

DRIPPING DRAGONS!

I came to a Water Garden,
Which had water-lilies on sale,
And I suddenly noticed dragons
Built to a very small scale.
They were wallowing under a fountain
Brushing water from their eyes,
And the sight of those sweet little dragons
Was a very pleasant surprise.
The rocks were gnarled and slippery;
The water richly green.
There was quite an air of fairyland
About the gentle scene

  1. That's an interesting one. Is that a public park or a private garden?

  16. Very artistic writing. When you tell someone about an experience you don't want to just tell them what was there, you also want to recreate the feeling of that scene. In this way your poem was almost clearer a picture than the photograph. The photograph wasn't really interesting to me until you recreated the experience for me and then there was a connection. Excellent writing, thanks for writing this.

  18. Those dragons looked almost human with the one on the right appearing to bathe himself.

    Another fine rhyme, as was expected!
